Safety Isn’t a Rulebook — It’s Our Culture
In landscaping, safety is often reduced to rules and checklists. Those matter, but they are not the whole picture. At ProScape, safety is not something we turn on when someone is watching. It is built into how we think, how we work, and how we look out for one another every day.
Beyond Rules: A Shared Responsibility
Rules alone do not keep people safe. Culture does. A strong safety culture means every team member understands that safety is shared, not assigned. It is about making sure everyone goes home healthy and accountable at the end of the day.
We stay current with all federal, state, and local safety regulations while working on your property, so compliance and risk management are never left to chance. When safety is cultural, people speak up, slow down when needed, and do the job the right way, not just the fast way.
Built Into Every Morning
Safety starts before boots hit the ground. Each morning, field staff, Crew Leads, Production Managers, and Account Managers participate in stretch-and-flex and tailgate safety meetings. These briefings function as daily job safety analyses, tailored to seasonal conditions and that day’s work.
You will also notice our crews in high-visibility green safety vests at all times. It is a simple but intentional standard that improves awareness, protects our team around traffic and equipment, and signals professionalism and care on every site.
Training That Lives in the Field
Safety is not a binder on a shelf. It lives in the field. We reinforce safe practices around equipment operation, lifting, traffic control, and environmental hazards common across Ohio properties.
Crews complete regular site safety audits to confirm proper use of PPE, green safety vests, cones, signage, and jobsite controls. Crew leaders model expectations, and experienced team members mentor newer staff so safety stays visible and consistent.
Accountability Through Partnership
We believe accountability strengthens culture. ProScape actively partners with organizations like the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and participates in ongoing programs such as SUPR training, safety rodeos, and annual certifications.
Our leadership and team members attend events like the Ohio Safety Congress & Expo and bring those insights back to the field, sharing updated standards, tools, and best practices across the company.
Looking Out for Each Other
Safety works best when people care. Our team looks out for one another, whether that means hydration reminders on hot days or speaking up when something does not look right.
Accountability and excellence are core values at ProScape, and we empower our team to hold each other to those standards respectfully and consistently.
Safety as a Long-Term Commitment
Safety is not seasonal or reactive. It evolves. In early 2026, we are launching a formal safety committee made up of leadership and field representatives to focus on training, communication, compliance, chemical labeling, and SDS updates.
Why This Matters for Our Clients
A strong safety culture protects more than our team. It protects your property, your tenants, and your visitors. Visible, well-trained crews operating safely reduce risk, limit disruptions, and keep job sites clean and controlled.
When safety is handled without hassle, you gain confidence knowing your property is being cared for the right way, every time.
