If you had asked Luke Henry 20 years ago where his landscaping business would go, he might’ve told you it was just a way to help pay for college. Today, that humble start has grown into ProScape—one of Central Ohio’s most respected commercial landscape partners, known for its reliability, consistency, and care.

A College Hustle Turned Commercial Powerhouse

Luke Henry founded ProScape in 2005 while attending pharmacy school. What began with a lawn mower and a few neighborhood clients grew steadily thanks to his work ethic and the trust of a growing team. After finishing school and briefly working in pharmacy, Luke made the leap: full-time entrepreneur.

“What started as a means to an end helped me uncover not only a love for creating and maintaining beautiful landscaping, but also learning about business and leadership in order to create something meaningful”, said Henry.

Growth Fueled by People

ProScape’s success story isn’t one of a single visionary; it’s one of a dedicated team. Over the years, the company has built a culture where leadership is developed, not just expected. Weekly team leadership sessions, advancement from within, and intentional investment in training have helped shape a company that is truly powered by people.

“This milestone is really more about our team,” Henry added. “Their passion, their grit, their leadership… that’s what made 20 years possible.”

Expansion into Columbus

One of ProScape’s biggest growth milestones came with its entrance into the Columbus market in 2017. Through a strategic acquisition and organic growth through relationships, the company was able to bring its proactive, partnership-first approach to a broader set of commercial clients across Central Ohio, solidifying its position as a regional player.

Sharpening the Focus in 2025

After years of serving both residential and commercial properties, ProScape officially transitioned to an all-commercial focus in 2025. This move aligned with the company’s strengths and the evolving needs of its clients.

“Going all-in on commercial wasn’t just a pivot, it was a commitment to where we can have the biggest impact,” said Henry.

What’s Next?

ProScape’s leadership team is already looking to the future. Plans are underway to expand service offerings, improve client experience with new technology, and continue developing the next generation of leaders.

“The coming years are about scaling what sets us apart—Care, Capability, and Communication,” Henry said.
